In the past, whenever I have pinned a report tile to a dashboard, it has automatically shared the report with every user that the dashboard is shared with. That is no longer the case. I pinned a report tile to a dashboard earlier this week and then had to go in and share the dashboard again with all users in order for them to get access to the report. Does this not defeat one of the helpful aspects of putting reports on a dashboard? I am hoping this is a bug and not a new feature. Has anyone else experienced this?
And no, I can't move everything to apps, at least not at this time. So that is not a feasible solution for me.
Thank you!

For anyone else who is experiencing this issue, I just got off of the phone with my Microsoft Support person, and they said that this change was implemented on purpose in order to increase security (or something to that effect). I'm not happy about it, but it seems there is nothing to be done. Maybe if it throws a wrench in enough people's jobs, they'll change it back. But we'll just have to wait and see!
If anyone else is frustrated by this, please vote for my idea! https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-Ideas/Make-sharing-report-when-pinned-to-dashboard-...
Or if anyone has any better suggestions, post that idea here and I'll make sure to vote.

Hi @mmerchak ,
Thank you for following up and sharing the outcome of your support ticket, we truly appreciate it.
We understand your frustration regarding the recent change in dashboard tile sharing behavior. Your effort in raising a support ticket and submitting an idea for community voting is commendable community feedback like yours helps shape future improvements.
We encourage you to stay engaged with the community for ongoing discussions and updates as we move forward.

Hi @mmerchak ,
The normal experience is what you first described - that the dashboard is shared with whomever and then when you add a new tile, they just get the new tile.
However, this is apparently a new bug (might be a new permanent modification, I am not sure). Quite a few folks have seen this recently. the new default is that the user has to also have report view permissions to see updates to the dashboard. But, to me at least, that is not effective because I have the dashboard for a reason and don't want to share the report!!
Also, since this is in the Service, your best bet is to create a support ticket and get this on Microsoft's radar (along with other people that are reporting this issue).

Thank you, @collinq!!
I had tried googling this issue and came up empty handed, so I did not know that others were experiencing it as well. I feel somewhat relieved that it is not just me. However, I hope that this is not a permanent modification! That would make the task of sharing reports SO much harder for people who use dashboards for sharing content!
I had went ahead and opened a support ticket, so I am hoping this gets it on their radar, like you said, and the answer is not that this is just how it's going to be now...
Thank you so much, again!
