Pin to Dashboard for Apps: not possible to pin app tiles to dashboards?

We deploy our PBI dashboards as Apps to our users.

However, it appears it is not possible to pin visuals if you are using the App.

You must have access to the workspace.

Is there anyway around this?  This does not make sense as we don't want ALL our users to have rights to modify the dashboards, just the ability to pin and set alerts if they so desire.

Currently, it’s not supported for read-only app users to pin tiles for dashboards in app. According to official document, If app users are also the owner of the dashboard or the report that they are pinning from, they can pin from dashboards that are distributed to them. For more details, you may refer to Pin from apps to dashboard - Release Notes | Microsoft Docs.

For such kind of features that don’t support up to now, I do suggest you voting or adding comments with details for similar ideas in Power BI Ideas. Our product group will collect needs or suggestion from users from there when designing or improving of this product. Thanks in advance!
