Pin same report page on dashboard multiple times with different filters

I have a page in a report that highlights client-specific data using different visuals. The report uses a filter where you select the client to filter the data. It also prints the current filter on the report so you can see which client is showing.

Now I would like to pin this report multiple times to a dashboard in the Power BI service, but each pinned instance should show different clients, i.e. each pinned instance should have its own client filter applied.

Is this possible? I have tried using the 'Pin Live Page' feature from the Report, while having different clients selected in the client filter, and that adds my page multiple times to my dashboard. But it only applies the latest on the pinned pages in the dashboard, replacing any previous filter, so in the end my dashboard just shows the page with the same client over and over.

I have also tried changing the client filter on the pinned pages after they have been pinned, and that works in the sense each pinned page shows the data with the client filter applied, but the issue here is that its not persistent; once I leave the dashboard page and return, each filter has reset.

I understand I could have a report and have one page in each report represent a client, and then pin each page separately, but that has a lots of drawbacks for me, one of the main being that if I need to change something the 'master' report page, I need to update all the pages separately, or update the 'master page' and then remove and readd all the filtered pages and re-pin then.

Having a 'master' page and then pinning it multiple times with different filters apply to a dashboard is what I'm hoping is possible here.

I'm new to Power BI. Thoughts on how to achieve this?

Hi @joelh,

Please take a try to only Pin the special Visuals (tiles) to Dashboard.

Doing it in this way should be able to keep the filters within the tile under the Dashboard.

For more information about Pin Tiles, please check:

Pin a tile to a Power BI dashboard from a report

Michael
