Personal gateway - online but failed to use

Hello,

I have been using the personal gateway to refresh reports successfully until today. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but when trying to reconnect my datasets get the following:

Something went wrong

Failed to use the selected gateway. Please make sure the gateway is up and running and try again.

However, the gateway is online and ready to be used. 

I don't have any special permissions on the files and have not changed user names. What could be causing this issue?

Getting the same error, with personal gateway as well as on-premise gateway. Also installed a new personal gateway on a local machine, stillg getting the same error.

Can you share a snapshot of the error message? Where did you get this error message?

I tried again this morning to unistall and reinstall the personal gateway and now it is working again. Sorry that I cannot provide any explanation as to what caused the problem in the first place. Thank you for the replies.
