Personal Gateway

Hello,

 

We run BC on-prem and I have a personal gateway setup in PowerBI. I don't need it in order to refresh my reports and it causes my refreshes to fail when my computer is not active. How can I remove the personal gateway? The last time I tried PowerBI would not refresh my reports until I reinstalled the gateway.

    if you using power bi service on the web you do need a gateway to refresh from the service of power bi, if you refresh directly from your pc them you dont need a gateway,

      I'm publishing reports from the desktop service onto the web, would i not need a gateway? If not, how can I remove it?

        them you do need a gateway, cause the only way to connect your source to the power bi service (web) it via a gateway or cloud/online based sources. 

        so in your case you cant do without the gateway, now if you want the refresh to work even with your pc turned off you will need to change the source to a cloud based storage or install a on prem gateway to a server or a constante turned on pc
