Personal Data Gateway is offline

My personal data gateway is offline. I have tried a couple of time to reinstall the gateway but it has remained offline. What I see in Settings / Dataset in the Gateway Connection section is: "Your data gateway (Power BI – personal) is offline. To set refresh scheduling, make sure your gateway is online".

Also, in Manage gateways section there is no any gateway in the list.

I'm confused since my personal computer where the gateway is installed is online all time. Does anyone have an idea what is a possible problem?

I found some similar topics on the forum but it doesn't solve my problem. To be honest those question have not been fully covered and answered.

Many thanks,

I would initially suspect that some firewall rules somewhere on the network are blocking your personal gateway from talking to the Power BI Service.

I would check Firewalls first, then make sure that the Personal Gateway is actually logged in.

It has an icon in the notification area by the clock to access and it needs to be logged in.

Thank you guys for answering and giving me the idea what was the cause of the problem - I solved the it.

The gateway wasn't signed in after installation. For some reason I wasn't offered to sign in at the end of the installation process (in my opinion it should have happened). What I had to do - I found Power BI Gateway - Personal in start menu, started it and signed in. After this data gateway was online.
