Hi The option to "Don't allow end users end user to save filters on this file in the power BI service " is not selected should it be?
Also I cannot see the other options on the top ribbon .
Is this due to our current version?

No, this option should be left unchecked. When you check this option, the report that is published to the service disables Persistent Filters.

Keep the two not be choosed:
I create a sample:
visual and setting:(then publish)
Then use filter:
Reopen the report:
my desktop version :
