I am following the same steps but I am getting error in step 9. Deploy to Power BI, where i am going to deploy Model to my Power BI Service workspace.
Below is the error Plz suggest the wayforward.
Thanks.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The issue is resolved after:
1- My PBI Service license was Pro. I updgraded it to Premium Per User.
2- XMLA end point setting in Power BI Service :
To enable read-write for Premium Per User
Select Settings > Admin portal.
In the Admin portal, select Premium Per User.
Expand Semantic model workload settings. In the XMLA Endpoint setting, select Read Write.
Thanks.

I think you need to use the first way of authentication.
I have tried and got same error.
Are XMLA endpoints enabled in your tenant? I would expect you getting a different error message in that case but it is easy to check.
