Hi community! Does anyone have any experience connecting OKR, performance metrics, and review results into Power BI? Our team appears to be struggling with it, considering we don't have the most tech-savvy HR department. If you have any experience with this or know any tools that do this automatically, it would be much appreciated.

Hii @AliceAtLangen
You can easily build OKR and Performance dashboards in Power BI. The simplest approach is to store OKR data (Objectives, Key Results, Targets, Current values, Owners, Due dates) in Excel or SharePoint, then connect it to Power BI and create measures like % Achievement and status (Green/Amber/Red). Use KPI cards, progress bars, and department drill-downs for clear tracking. If HR isn’t technical, keep updates in a structured Excel file with scheduled refresh it’s simple, scalable, and low maintenance.
Hello @AliceAtLangen,
Yes. You can track OKRs, performance metrics, and reviews in Power BI by linking Objectives → Key Results and Employees → Reviews.
Use visuals like progress bars, status indicators, and aggregate ratings. For automation, pull data from Excel/SharePoint or directly via OKR tool APIs (WorkBoard, Perdoo, Lattice, 7Geese, Profit.co).
Keep HR templates standardized to simplify updates.
Hi Alice! Plenty of ways to go about it as everyone very nicely put. You can definitely connect an excel spreadsheet or a sharepoint with all your performance and OKR data into Power BI. As you are doing so, you can also use some OKR scoring techniques such as color coding to make your life easier. The best way to go however is to make sure you're using an OKR tool that connects to Power BI via API. Doing it all manually is way too demanding for any team. There are some solid tools out there like Teamflect, Perdoo, Profit Co. These three appear to be the spiritual successors to Viva Goals in this space. We've had a really easy experience connecting Teamflect to Power BI and it took care of all our analytic needs. I'm sure the others are also quite capable. Don't push your team too much into convaluted reporting processes. Hope this helped!
