Performance Issue? Visuals go blank after PBI Service Refresh!
Hello, I'm aware of similar issues posted to the forum but none have met the need with this trouble ticket.
I have about a dozen calendars contained in SharePoint Online lists, all of which contain the same columns, and my goal is bring all of them into my data set, and then append them in Power Query. Having done all this I built and populated my visuals successfully, and then published to Power BI Service. The visuals appear just fine.
But after a data refresh the visuals just turn blank when you open the report.
I've been searching high and low for ways to optimize the report and hopefully pare down a pretty big data set. Because as you're probably aware each SharePoint Online list brings over a huge trove of additional columns. I haven't pared everything down yet but as I wade into some very time consuming steps, I prefer getting reassurance from the community about why this problem might be occuring, or better yet what I can do about it?
THANK YOU.

Use ODATA to improve query performance.

Hello, thanks for your reply. ODATA appears to enable a bug report. I haven't used it in the past but docs.microsoft.com gives a walkthrough. Is this what you meant by it? Thanks again.

Thanks in advance to anyone who sees this...
After working on the report another day, the original error where the visuals blank out after a data refresh in Power BI Service (based on a data set which is an appended set of SharePoint Online lists), even after I significantly cut down the size of the data using Power Query. I hacked away approximately 20 extra columns for EACH table (many were expandable), applied filters at the query level wherever possible, and produced a clean AppendedList.
I was sure that the data reduction and improvements toward simplicity would help solve the problem. I even went down into the filters to ensure everything is set up deliberately and consistently.
But after report refresh in PBI Service, the visuals blank out again.
***SIDE NOTE: Both visuals blanking out are third party timeline visuals: "as Timeline" and "Timeline Storyteller v1.0.8".
Thanks again!

Do you mean this issue only occurs on "as Timeline" and "Timeline Storyteller v1.0.8" custom visuals? Other visuals are working well after data refresh?
