Pasting Image with caption in teams
The feature "Copy Image with caption" is a great way to share specific content from a PowerBI report. However, when pasting into teams, some captions bump against the lentgh limit on teams messages.
I received this error in teams, when pasting a copied image with caption.
"You'll need to shorten your message to send it"
I had copied the image of a table with six applied filters.
Six applied filters don't seem as a unreasonable amount of filters. Could something be done one the formatting of what is copied, to make it work better within the length limits of teams messages?

Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust the formatting of the copied image with caption to make it work better within the length limits of Teams messages. However, there are a few workarounds you can try:
-
Shorten the caption: You can try shortening the caption of the image to fit within the character limit of Teams messages. This may require some editing of the original caption to remove unnecessary information.
-
Use a link to the report: Instead of copying the image with caption, you can try sharing a link to the report in Teams. This will allow users to view the report directly in Power BI, without the need to copy and paste images.
-
Use the "Share to Teams" feature: Power BI has a feature that allows you to share a report directly to Teams. To use this feature, you need to install the Power BI app in Teams and sign in to Power BI. Once you have done this, you can share a report to Teams by clicking on the "Share to Teams" button in the report view.
-
Use the "Export to PowerPoint" feature: You can try exporting the report to PowerPoint and then sharing the PowerPoint file in Teams. This will allow users to view the report in a format that is optimized for presentations and may be easier to read than a copied image with caption. However, please note that this feature has some limitations, such as a maximum of 15 pages per report and limited support for custom visuals.
