Paginated report - could not connect to the data source

I've got a simple paginated report that calls a stored proc in SQL server. The report works fine in report builder but when I publish it to service I get the following error

Could not connect to the data source.

Data for this report could not be fetched. The data source was found, but the credentials or identity used to connect to the data source were incorrect. Please update the credentials for this report before trying again.

In the datasource settings i've got it connected via our enterprise gateway that we use for all our other reports so i'm a bit confused why it's not recognising the creds. Any ideas?

Figured it out, our gateway login creds only had read permission on the database (no update statements)

Hi @ollie_mills

I am not 100% sure if you can call a stored proc as the data source to run the paginated report.

To test what happens if you have a TSQL query will it then work?

Thanks @GilbertQ I've changed is so that the paginated report uses a tsql query with parameters, instead of calling a proc and im getting the same issue
