I have a paginated report which gets rendered successfully. On using the page navigation as shown in the screenshot below highlighted in yellow, it is actually making a call to database and then again taking a long time to load the second page. This is occuring on every page navigation.
What could be causing this behaviour? I believe once the report is loaded, navigating through pages should not make any calls to database as there are no changes being made to parameters and only changing the pages.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.
Hi @saif
Paginated reports work differently to Power BI Datasets.
What you are viewing is 100% how it works. It only queries the data required for each single page. When you click to go to the next page, it then runs another query to get the data for the page. This is by design
