Paginated Report not rendering in Power BI Service

We have a paginated report published to Power BI Premium Service whose datasource resides on Azure sql db and since a few days has stopped working.

The underlying dataset is a view which is used by other reports and they all work normally.

I can render the report in Power BI Report Builder and also VIsual Studio , but cant get it work in PowerBI Service.

 

I have tried deleting and republisihing the report, renamed and published it to another workspace and yet the behavior continues. 

 

Anyone else face a similar situation? Any help would be appreciated !

    Can you confirm that it can successfully connect to the data source using the credentials?

      Hello ,

      The credentials are stored in the report when publishing to the service. ALso there are other reports which use the same source adn credentials and it works.this is what is shows

    What happens if you change the query to select top 1, just to check if it then works to try and troubleshoot?

      Hi Gilbert,

      Yes,when I change the query to Top 1* it does work and render the report, but select * doesnt ..

        Hi LavanyaI 

         

        I would suggest selecting the column names and maybe put in a where clause in the query to limit how many rows it returns?
