Paginated Report configuration of data source

Please confirm what I am finding. Paginated Reports must be deployed to the service with their data source pointing to the desired location. Thus, if I have a paginated report in a development environment pointing to SQL-Dev and am ready to deploy to a QA environment that uses SQL-QA, I need to change the data source in the report prior to deployment because nothing in the service or PowerShell allows me to change it after deployment. Is that correct?

Actually, you can change the data source from the power bi report builder before deploy the report to service for sure, but also there's a API which you can take a shoot to change the data source after deployment, kindly refer to the official document for more details:
