Hello ,
I need to push new upcoming data in Real-time on the Historical data from the original database. The below document I find a perfect guide to fulfill my needs:
https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/creating-real-time-dashboards-in-power-bi-with-push-datasets/
However, it suggests to install sqlbi.pbipushtools which exist here
https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/Sqlbi.PbiPushTools/1.1.0
When doing so I get the below error
"Untrusted repository
You are installing the modules from an untrusted repository. If you trust this repository, change its
InstallationPolicy value by running the Set-PSRepository cmdlet. Are you sure you want to install the modules from
'PSGallery'?"
It this safe for my organization?

Hi, @imenmaiza
Thanks for @GilbertQ reply. The PowerShell Gallery (PSGallery) is the central repository for PowerShell content, including scripts, modules, and DSC resources. It hosts packages authored by both Microsoft and the community. While Microsoft does author some of the content, not all content in PSGallery is directly managed or vetted by Microsoft. If you want to use it, you must check the organization's policy on software installation and external repositories.
1. Ensure that the module you’re installing is from a reputable source. In this case, since is part of the SQLBI community and widely used, it’s likely safe.
2. Check if your organization has specific policies regarding PowerShell module installation. Some organizations restrict untrusted repositories to minimize security risks.

Hi @imenmaiza
What recommending checking the source? But I have worked with sql bi for a long time, and I trust the work that they are doing. So I would change the repository and mark this as safe.
Hi @GilbertQ
Thank you for your reply, I really need this to be confirmed from Microsoft.
