Hi @Sachi08 ,
Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Please ensure that you have the required permissions on the semantic model to modify the data source credentials.

Additionally, try republishing the report and then configuring the gateway and credentials directly in the Power BI Service.

If this post was helpful, please give us Kudos and consider marking Accept as solution to assist other members in finding it more easily.

Hello @Sachi08

according to this blog, attempting to refresh your dataset in Power BI Service may result in an error if the dataset exceeds 1 GB. In such cases, the refresh will fail until you filter the data model to reduce its size below this limit.

Second, optimize your data model by following the guidelines outlined in this blog.

Additionally, adjust the "Command timeout in minutes (optional)" setting by following these steps, then check if the dataset refreshes successfully in Power BI Desktop:

  1. In Power BI Desktop, click the arrow next to "Edit Queries", then select "Data Source Settings" from the dropdown.

  2. In the Data Source Settings window, click "Change Source...".

  3. Click "Advanced Options", enter 60 minutes in the "Command timeout in minutes (optional)" field, and click OK.
