PBI app audiences sorting/ordering
Hello Guys,
In the company we want to create one big audience for Commercial departments (Marketing, Sales, Business). Reports will be in audiences but we spotted problems with ordering reports which make huge mess for end users.
Normally we would like to see view like this
But some reports are relevant for multiple audiences so more like this
As far as I know report order is based on a Content pane in app and that fact at the end leads to this view
You may think that it is not a big deal but in real example with real report names it is messy as hell
Do you know anything that may help making it looks nicer?
Thanks 🙂
Hi Snufkin ,
To my knowledge you cannot define a different order for each of the audiences you are working with, so the order you set at step two is the one you have for all of them.
What type of license are you using is it Power BI Pro or Fabric?
If it's fabric then you can use the the org apps that allow you to create several different apps and on the same workspace allowing not only to have sort by different order the several reports.

Thanks a lot MFelix for your response , I think this is what I would like to have 🙂
I don't event want to start discussion in my company to get Fabric licence, due to months of discussion, nevertheless I marked your answer as solution because this would be the best (and probably only) solution to this case
Thanks a lot

Hi Snufkin ,
Based on your request if you are not going for Fabric thenyou cannot have in the same app different sorting of the reports.
Did not mention because you probable don't want to replicate the reports but only option using pro licensing is to have different apps in different workspaces but that is very hard to maintain.
