PBI Service Refresh

I have Published a report to the Service but cannot refresh it.

The report only links to a website.

I get the folloing error:

Data source error:Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.

Please assist

(Ps. The Data Source Credentials option is disabled)

  • Hey Selwynster ,

this somestimes happens, when the tables of your data model are connecting to more than one data source. This sometimes happen when you forgot to remove unnecessary tables from your data model, or redirect the data sources. Sometimes a table also points to an Excel file, somewhere on your local network or your local machine.

Local files need a gateway, if you are using Sharepoint online I recommend to move your local files to a Sharepoint online library, using Sharepoint online you can overcome the need for a gateway.

Hopefully, this provides some ideas on how to tackle your challenge.

    Regards,

    Tom

Hey Selwynster , can you please provide a screenshot of the data sources in your local pbix file

What is the authentication method of your web source, e.g. Power BI Service does not support NTLM authentication with web data sources.

        Regards,

        Tom
