PBI Service Data <> Local Data after Publishing
- 3 years ago
Ok so here's what i've found. I have a T/F column coming from my SQL source that is formatted in PQ as True/False. For some reason, it was transformed in PBI (not PQ) to a text column. I use this column in a switch statement. However, when i publish to the service, and i add that column to the filter pane, it gives me the option of 0 and -1, instead of "True" and "False".
To further the True/False column, if i select the (-1) {which should be a "true" in text at this point} in the filter pane, i get a popup that says "This visual contains one or more filters with deleted columns, type mismatches, or other breaking modeling changes" and the visual errors off.
so i've identified the issue, now to fix.
thank you for the willingness to help!
Hi caseyace
It would appear that there is something on the page causing this to happen?
If you create a new page and put in the measure does it work as expected?

Solution: i added a custom column of type TEXT for the T/F and used that in my measure and filter pane. so far so good.
