PBI Report company access to all - adding few RLS requirements

Hi all,

Hope you will be able to help me with the following issue regarding application of RLS.

Currently we do have a dashboard which is accessible to everyone in our organisation.

However, we require to add some data which are only accessible to specific users.

I checked around and could not find any solution on this forum, as all solutions with RLS only seem to work with lists of users.

My preference would be as follows:

- keep the current dashboard

- add hidden pages which can be accessed only by certain users

- use an access button as described here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/page-tab-level-security-conditional-navigation-power-bi-a%25C5%259F%2...

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Not a good idea.  Create a separate report in a different workspace or use the new audience feature.

There is no such thing as "hiding pages" when it comes to security - that is purely cosmetic.

Ah, too bad.

Then I leave it this way. I do not want to create another report.

Thought it would be a neat solution to have a general accessible PowerBi with some areas being accessible to specific users only...
Then we stick to our current solution (as the data is not "really" restricted) --> we created a hidden (transparent) button in a corner of one of the pages, which links to the hidden pages.
