PBI Gateway Cluster

Hi 

 

We have a PBI Gateway cluster configured as 'Test1Cluster'

 

The 'Test1Cluster' has issues , is it good idea to re-configure the cluster or add New cluster and change the PBI Gateway cluster to new one.

 

My worries is re-configuring might impact the PBI Gateway cluster pointing to 'Test1Cluster'

Pls suggest best away to avoid sevice disruption.

      Remove-OnPremisesDataGateway - 

       

         CluserObjectID :xxxx-xxx-xxx123

         Gatewayobject ID: 1233-299292 (Cluster1)/  Gatewayobject ID: 1233-299292 (Cluster2) Current host server

       

      can you please suggest which Gatewayobject ID to add 

       

      Addonpermisedatacluster:

        Hi Nav_14,

         

        The gateway object id which you displayed is the primary gateway which host the cluster. As document mentioned, you need to remove this after remove other gateways. 

         

        Sample:

        Remove -OnPremisesDataGateway -CluserObjectID xxxx-xxx-xxx123 -GatewayObjectID 1233-299292

         

        Lets you remove a gateway instance from a cluster - note that the primary gateway in the cluster cannot be removed until all other gateways in the cluster are removed.
