OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater (In Service)

Hey all,

Usually I can googlefu a solution, but this one has me stuck. I have a report that is connecting to Oracle DB through an enterprise gateway. The report was built on my work laptop that has the correct ODAC installed.

I then did some more work on it on my home PC that did not have ODAC at the time and has no gateway/VPN to work network.

Now the report refreshes fine in PowerBI desktop on my work laptop but in service I receive the below error. I have many other reports that are refreshing without issue using same Oracle DB/Gateway configuration.

I have tried editing the queries on work laptop to refresh them & republish

I have tried changing the datasource from the TNS name to the actual DB path

I have installed ODAC on home PC and republished

I have added as new datasouce in Service gateway settings to try and refresh

Verified ODAC is correctly installed on gateway host server

Any ideas on what else to try?

Error received in Service when trying to refresh is:

Data source error{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"The provider being used is deprecated: 'System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater.'.
