OneDrive Power BI sync is not working and OneDrive refresh option gets disabled automatically
- 4 years ago
Hi SparshiJain ,
The problem you are facing is likely related to the fact, that original dataset in your OneDrive tenant was deleted/replaced. Even if the name is the same, the file ID is different and then the connection between OneDrive and PBI Service is lost.
If this is your case, you can try to look in to your bin and restore the deleted version. I am not 100% sure if the file ID will be the same, but it worth trying. Then go to PBI Service - Schedule refresh with OneDrive. Check if you can turn on the sync. with onedrive and test your dataset.
If this won't help I am affraid you need to create a new report with new url.
Let me know,

It might be a good idea to consider switching from sharepoint connection to desktop if you keep getting this issue. Here's a video explaining how to do that. And you don't have to share a new link with the users as long as they have access to the new data model, they will be able to keep their bookmarks too.
