OneDrive + On-Prem refresh via Data Gateway

Hello

I have read through several pages and community topics as well, but still haven't had luck on this.

 

So, I have a report which is using SQL Server as one of the sources and another one is the file from OneDrive.

I want to schedule this report for refresh. I read that we cannot add the "on-prem data source + OneDrive (sharepoint) data source" together as part of On-premises Data gateway.

I also read that this is possible if we use the Personal gateway instead. So, I installed personal gateway.

 

However, surprisingly, I am still getting the same message as below once data source for Onedrive file is added to my report -

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am kind of stuck on how do I proceed to schedule the report which has data source from SQL server (on-prem) as well as OneDrive file.

 

Any assistance?

    Hi Anonymous

    Do you implement the following selection?

    Under Gateway Cluster Settings, select Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster > Apply

    According to this article (Merge or append on-premises and cloud data sources), you can now schedule refreshes via gateway for queries that perform a merge or append query using a cloud and on-prem source.

    Could you have a try to see if it helps?

      Hi v-juanli-msft

       

      Can't we use enterprise gateway with this setting for merge and append to work ?

      Or it needs only personal gateway ?

      Note: (The documentation talks about "Gateway installed on a local computer")
