Hi, I have had a connection with One Drive for my Excel which is used as the dataset for all my reports. This suddenly stopped refreshing on the 28th Feb. I cannot get it to refresh. It is now called a Semantic model. I can see all the one drive refresh options and manually click on it to refresh however, I get the same error as below every time.
ServerError_ExcelProviderFileNotFound
Any ideas on how I can either reconnect the excel file with Power BI (online) without losing all my reports that I have created that use that data source? I cannot seem to see anywhere how I can re-link this.or get this to work.
Thank you in advance.

Hi @elliottlawlor ,
Normally, this is an error indicating that this is not "finding" the file. Please confirm that EVERYTHING is exactly the same as it was before. And, confirm that the data source in the gateway is reaching it. The file name or path might have changed slightly
OR, the permissions have changed. I would expect the error to be a bit different if it was permissions though but it is possible.

Hi @elliottlawlor,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
In addition to valuable points mentioned by @collinq , you can verify the data source credentials by clicking on epsilon in service then on settings.
Please check if the report is referencing the correct location.

As my settings are different, can i remove the existing semantic model and reconnect to it again and will that update the reports that i have already created that were connected to that Excel before?
I am pretty sure everything is exactly the same. I do not have the option of Data Source Credentials in the settings. Please see the screenshot of what I have.

Hi, I have just seen that around that time i had an issues with the excel file and excel created a copy of it. It has been renamed to the exact same file name but it could be a "different" excel even though it contained exactly the same data and was renamed to the same excel name in the same location on one drive.
How do i get this resolved to work again in power Bi online.
Thank you.
The file name and location are exactly the same.
I took a copy of the excel and moved it to another one drive location and then connected it and everything worked fine.
It did show different options in the settings compared to teh existing one that is not refreshing. I conncted this excel back in 2020 so maybe some things have changed.
I have also been into managed connection and gateways and can see the file in there with a status of refreshing. However there is another sharte point connection which is saying it is failed:
