OnPremise Data Gateway cluster automation

I am trying to automate OnPremise PowerBI Gateway cluster creation. I found two PS modules i.e. DataGateway and OnPremisesDataGatewayHAMgmt but none of it has Cmdlets or functions to create cluster and add new member to cluster programatically. I also checked RESTAPI and that also doesnt have any of the endpoint which can help me achieve it.

So wanted to check if there is any way to achieve this.

Hi @harish9211 ,

Have you seen this blog, you will find resources for PowerShell modules for managing On-premises data gateway here:

Hi @v-joesh-msft , Thank you for looking into it. As i have already mentioned above, these modules doesnt have any cmdlet to Add new cluster Member or create new cluster from scratch. It does have cmdlets to remove member, add users etc.

Just to clarify i am looking for help if there is any way to create cluster or add data gateway cluster member to exisiting cluster using PowerShell or any other programattic way.

Thank you.

Hi @harish9211 ,

After my research, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now. For your requirement, you could post your new idea in Power BI ideas and make this feature coming sooner.
