On-premises data gateway hard disk storage space requirement

Hi all,

We are trying to provision the hardware to install an on-premises data gateway. We have taken a look at the related Microsoft Docs documentation, i.e. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-install

it mentions storage will be used for spooling but it doesn't seem to mention the hard disk space requirement for the server. 
Our questions:

1. Is there a minimum / recommended hard disk space requirement that we can refer to?
2. Will this storage grows over time or will it be dependent on the size of the data source we are trying to access through the on-premise data gateway?

Once you install the on-premise gateway the space occupied by its files will be less than 1 GB. It is not depending on data sources. It may add log files, but it won't take much space. 

If you are not installing any other application in the system, 250GB SSD would be enough for setting up the gateway.

Thankyou very much for your information. We don't plan to install other application in the system. Just want to confirm, the 250GB you've mentioned, is that including the space needed for the OS?

Yes - You have to consider other parameters that are mentioned in this link. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/guidance/gateway-onprem-sizing
