Hi Everyone,
I have report connected to a bunch of different on-premises SharePoint sites using the Power BI SharePoint List connector.
The site urls follow the following structure https://SharePoint.com/ABC123 where ABC123 is a unique identifier of the specific site.
Untill friday I was able to create a refresh data sources in our On-premises data gateway using that specific url.
However now the Service requires the url to be in the format https://SharePoint.com/abc123/ in order for reports to connect to the data source, and all of the previously created SharePoint sources are not detected within the reports. This is despite the fact that when you click the "Add to gateway" button it creates a new data source in the format: https://SharePoint.com/ABC123
Can anyone confirm whether or not this change is intentional, or whether this is a known issue?
Hey @MAVIE ,
I ahve not heard of this or seen this before. A url being case-sensitive is not somethign I am familiar with. I am wondering if the Power BI Desktop version has it lower or upper case and the Service is trying to be identical???? Just a weird theory...I have not heard of that before. You don't have a flow or anything involved as well (as that could be case sensitive in certain situations)?
Lastly, I would confirm that nothing has happened to the userid or to the URL itself on the SharePoint site (maybe they had alternate mapping???)?
If it is not any of those, your best bet might be to open a support ticket as this seems quite unusual. If you do open a ticket, please let us know the results so we all can learn something!
