On-premise data gateway set up fail

 

I am attempting to set up an onpremise data gateway but when i go to log in i am recieving the below message..

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

 

Failed to sign in. Please verify your credentials and try again.
authentication_canceled: User canceled authentication
   at Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AuthenticationContext.RunAsyncTask[T](Task`1 task)

    Hi abehrmann,

     

    1. Always use the latest version of Gateway. 

    2. How about restarting the computer?

    3. Seems you provided a wrong password. Did you use the Power BI account?

    The gateway needs to be installed on a machine that does not sleep or one that is always online. With that said on the weekend when you shut your computer the schedule refresh would not work. 

     

    This is ok if you installed a personal gateway...I guess but if you have installed an enterprise gateway then you would have to reconsider your deployment options.

    There plenty of article in the community that provide guides on how to deploy a personal or enterprise gateway.

      Thanks i got it to work!

       

      But i have a second question,  i set the gateway up on my computer and sceduled the refresh twice daily but on the weekends my compute shut off and no i am not able to refresh the data.
