On-premise data gateway goes offline

Dear,

I am facing a issue since long time that, when I install and configure gateway it works perfectly fine . Able to add data sources and all working as desired.

Thing is that our company network uses proxy that might causes this issue. Can you please advise what and all I need to check or talk to network team to get it work smoothly.

However very often the gateaway is going offline. " Gateway is either offline or not reachable"

"DM_GWPipeline_Client_GatewayUnreachable"

If your On-premise data gateway gets offline, you use following command to start it:

net start PBIEgwService

As you mentioned, your company network uses proxy, for configuring proxy setting for On-premise data gateway, please see: Configuring proxy settings for the On-premises Data Gateway

Regards,

thanks @v-sihou-msft

Service not goes offline actually (I could see it is running), and I use the commands to stop and start. All seems to be fine.

However as I mentioned the gateway is not reachable error I am recieving. I think this is something to do with our network or proxy.

I would need to discuss with the network team, but I have not that idea what to be asked for them to check or implement. It would be great if you give some idea about the network settings.

As of now the service is running ion my office desktop.

Br,

Shams
