Hello everyone,
I ran into an issue with my On premises datagateway who suddenly stop running.
For a more detailed explanation :
- I have 4 datagateway on premises, who were on version 3000.162.10 and where working perfectly fine.
- The first datagateway stopped working on 21 september, which seems to correlate with the release of 3000.190.17 (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/on-premises-data-gateway-september-2023-release/ )
- The second gateway stopped working on 1 october.
- The third stopped working yesterday.
- The last one stopped working today.
- by " stopped working" i mean that the windows service would not start anymore.
- A reboot of the host was not enough to solve the problems.
- An update of the datagateway was ablo to solve the problems.
Now here is my question : How and why my gateways stopped working ? what can be the root cause ?
I suspect a configuration problem, but i wloud like to have a deeper explanation.
I know that microsoft does not offer support from gateways older than 6 months, but nowhere i've seen that they would stopped working altogether.
I kindly appreciate your help.
