On-prem data gateway pricing

Hi,

I installed a on-prem data gateway to our company SQL server.  I have a power bi pro license and I have scheduled refresh to my power bi report and dataset.  How does the pricing works for on-prem data gateway?  I can't find anything on azure website.  Is it based on traffic or something else?  So far I haven't seen any charges related to data gateway on the azure bill.

thanks

The gateway is free.  There is no charge for the Power BI Gateway.  As far as data and Azure pricing that is not related to Power BI Gateway directly as much as it is related your license for Azure.  If you have a specific license for how much data i would guess eventually that you might hit something.   To clarify, there are lots of people that don't have a specific Azure license - they just use Power BI and have the pro license.  Power BI uses Azure and other Microsoft services.  But, there is not necessarily a charge for that separately.

IF you are asking about data that you have stored IN Azure SQL or other data sources that would depend on your licensing.

I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!
