Dear All,
For a few months now I have been running into an On-Premise data gateway issue, details below.
2 months ago I started developing reports for the company where I work using Data Flow. To make the connections in the data flow, we used On-Premise data Gateways, offered by the Power BI service. At first glance, everything seems to be ok, but later I noticed that things are worse than I thought, and at the moment I don't understand if I can still use this service. The problem is that once the desktop is disconnected, the sources are not automatically updated as set, but generate an error. And once every 3-5 days the connection with On-Premise data Gateways is generally lost, and I can't update even with the computer turned on, I have to delete On-Premise data Gateways and then install it again, after this again 3 - 5 days with the computer on it works without problems. See below some examples of errors.
Error code: DM_GWPipeline_Client_GatewayUnreachable
Connection error: The gateway is either offline or could not be reached. Please ensure your gateway is online and try again.

Thank you in Advance,

Can you also confirm you have got the latest version of the On-Premise gateway installed?
Given that reinstalling the On-Premises Data Gateway temporarily resolves the issue, but it reoccurs after a few days, here are a couple of possible root causess.
Software Conflicts: There might be software on the host machine that conflicts with the gateway. This could be security software, updates, or other applications that interfere with the gateway's operation over time.
Temporary Files or Cache Issues: The gateway might accumulate temporary files or cache data that eventually cause performance issues or conflicts. Reinstalling clears these, which temporarily resolves the problem.
Automatic Updates or Changes in the Environment: The host machine or network environment might undergo automatic updates or changes (like security patches, and network configuration changes) that initially don't affect the gateway, but eventually lead to connectivity issues.
Resource Leaks or Memory Issues: The gateway software might have a memory leak or resource management issue, leading to gradual degradation in performance until it becomes non-functional.
Credential or Security Token Expiration: If there are credentials or security tokens involved that expire or need revalidation, this could explain the periodic failure.
