Hi Everyone.
Appoligies i have no doubt that his has been covered off before but im really struggling to find a soloution to my problem. I will try and provide as much detail below so please bare with me.
I have a mobile phone application (Non Microsoft Product) that currently operates on Google / Android. This is powered by a MYSQL Database located on a On-Premisis server in our developers office. Because of the type of product we are, our clients have been asking for a performance dashboard on their data and i have opted to use Power BI, mainly due to having a Office 365 Subscription and i am familiar with the product and its use.
The problem i have is firstly the on-premisis server runs on Linux, which doesnt allow the gateway to be installed, the second challange is that it needs to connect via a "SSH Tunnel" due to the firewall / security arrangements on their server.
I am at the point now i have exhausted so many different options and ways of tryign to resolve this, i am not a tech expert like most on here, i have seen a post that states that the gateway can be installed on a virtual machine? but again i dont no where to start.
