I have created a SQL/Server data source in an on premise gateway, where connectivity is working. When I publish a report using the same SQL Server connection I am unable to link it to the data source defined in the Gateway. I have granted myself access to the data source.
Data Source Settings in BI report: - mg1vdbaz35;FinanceProdSup
In Gateway: Server = mg1vdbaz35,1433
Database =FinanceProdSup
Auth Method = Basic
I have even tried with data source setting in the report to be mg1vdbaz35:1433;FinanceProdSup, but still no joy.
Anyone had this issue before and what is the resolution?
Hi@hugh-mandg ,
Can you provide a detailed error message or a screenshot of the error report page?
Please verify that you have the correct username and password. Also, verify that those credentials can successfully connect to the data source. Make sure the account that's being used matches the authentication method.
Or you may verify the name of the database and that the user credential has the proper permission to access that database.
Here are some common gateway error messages, Gateway Troubleshooting ,please check whether your problem is helpful, if not, please provide more detailed information to facilitate us to better solve your problem.
Hope it helps.
Best Regards,
Caitlyn Yan
