On Premise Data Gateway Installation Fail - Error Status - 1603

    Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

     

    Error 1603 is a general Windows Installer failure, often caused by permission issues or MSI corruption.

    If this is a corporate PC, security policies or endpoint protection tools may be blocking the installation. Some organizations restrict MSI execution or prevent system modifications.

    Contact your IT team to whitelist the gateway installer and review MSI execution policies. They may need to relax restrictions to allow the installation.
