On-Prem Data Gateway proxy issue

Hi Fabric Community, Our server group has decided to shut down and remove all proxy servers.  Is there a way to configure the On-prem data gateway service without a proxy server?   Thanks, DKHugh...

    Hi DKHUghes55 , 

    from my point of view an On-premises Data Gateway does not require a proxy server to function. As long as the gateway server has direct outbound HTTPS (TCP 443) access to the required Microsoft endpoints, it can communicate with the Power BI/Fabric service without a proxy.

     

    Microsoft also has a networking requirements page that lists the required endpoints:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-communication
