Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hello guys.

 

I have a connection and Gateway configured already in Power BI Service with a SAP BW Server datasource.

The scheduled refresh has worked for about a year, however since a week ago,it's been throwing this error:

 

"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Message","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."}}.

 

After trying many times by refreshing manually, it works. 1 in 10 attempts

Also, if I refresh the dataset in powerbi desktop, there's no problem.

And nothing has changed within the gateway or the datasource.

 

Do you have any idea can solver the issue? Can you help me, please?

    Hi AlanAr 

    Have you updated your Gateway ever since you have installed, If not then it is time to do it.

    Thanks for your response, we updated the Gateway to last version today as your suggestion, but it still throws the error.

      Hi AlanAr 

      Did you say that 1 out of 10 attempts the refresh can happen manually in the service? if so then it sounds more like a bug or a troubleshooting issue at the server level.
      Where is the Gateway installed? On-Prem or Local machine ?
      Can you please try another attempt and Uninstall all Gateways versions, clear all the files containing the Gateway and the re install a brand new version...Try and let me know please.
