ODBC ERROR [22P05] - Please help me.

Hello!

I have problem, with my ODBC driver (I think so.)

I have setup correctly my odbc driver in order to work with my postgres db.:

I have set up correctly the gateway:

And it is co-responding to the powerBI desktop.

Now, when I want refresh the data, I get this error massage:

Underlying error code: -2147467259
Underlying error message: ODBC: ERROR [22P05] ERROR: character with byte sequence 0xd7 0xa4 in encoding "UTF8" has no equivalent in encoding "WIN1252";

I have read all of the community posts regarding this problem, but I did not succeed to solved it.

I tried to setup new driver for unicode:

dorrogtech_2-1653304465484.png

And save the powerbi profect with this datasource:

database=....;driver={PostgreSQL Unicode};dsn=PostgreSQL30;port=5432;server=......

But when I tried to open new gateway to this path, it gives me this error:

Unable to create data source. Unable to connect to the data source.
Details: Dor-ROF: ODBC: ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

I really need this dataset to be able to re-fresh.

Thanks!

Hi @dor-rog-tech

Try to hit on the "Manage DSN" Button and changing the driver from "PostgreSQL ANSI(x64)" to "PostgreSQL Unicode(x64)", then restart and check if it works ok.
