We have a user in the company that is responsible for multiple data sets. When user password is reset they need to OAuth2 reauthenticate all the Sharepoint sites where documents are used. Why is it so? Any way to make the authentication permanent from the dataset settings itself?

Yes that service account has to have access to all SharePoint sites to read the file
Member role should be sufficient as it only require to read data.

You should be using service account and set the password never expire.

Yes, I was thinking about that.. however, this means that this service account will need access to all sharepoint sites, and all folders basically. Any way to do that , or will we have to make them a system administrator?
