Numeric Range Slicer appearing as List Slicer

Hello,

I've searched through the forum for other threads on this topic and haven't found any answers.

On power bi desktop, I have a couple of numeric range slicers which are working as they should. But, when I upload to Power BI online, these are converted to the default list slicers. I should note that I have confirmed that the two columns that form the numeric range slicers are currently formatted as decimal numbers (tried whole numbers too, and that didn't work).

Any ideas?

    Hi jsabo,

As described in this article, this is a limitation:

"Currently the numeric range slicer is only available in Power BI Desktop. If a report that uses the numeric range slicer is published to the Power BI service, the filter will still be applied but it will appear as a list slicer"

Here is a workaround to make numeric range slicer work in service:

In the desktop, set the slicer to use "Less than or equal to" option and publish to service. The slicer appears correctly on the web.

Then, in desktop change the same slicer to a range using "Between" option and republish it to replace the original one. Check the report on service, the numeric range slicer would work.

Besides, someone has submitted this as an idea at this page, you could click to vote it up.

    Best regards,
