Not understanding sharing
Hi all -
I have a dataset in Workspace A. I gave everyone in my organization read permissions.
I have reports and an app in Workspace B that are connected to the dataset in Workspace A. I have given 5 employees Viewer access to the App.
But none of those 5 employees can see anything in the app unless I also give them individual permissions to each report in the app, which is a big pain in the butt because my organization has over 100 people and we are looking to expand the use of these apps across the organization. I'm unable to add groups to report sharing, only individual email addresses.
Is this expected behavior? I kind of thought that as long as I gave employees permissions to the app, they'd be able to use what's in there.

Hi Anonymous,
Power bi app is shared base on the whole of app content that you packaged in the app, you can't configure particular part permissions which you used to design the app.(app permissions equal to each contents permission that app used)
If you have lots of users that need to be shared, create a group or contact list with these users should be the best way to share apps.
