Hello all,
I'm facing a problem in which I am not able to view data in the service. So basically I have a dataset file and a visualization file that is connected to the dataset file. I have two users let's say user1 & user2 from which when I log in with user1 then I can see the data in the visualization file whereas when I log in with user2, I am not able to see the data. Also, I have other reports which use the same dataset but this is seen in 1 or 2 reports, and in that also, I can see the data in one page but the same visual on the other page doesn't have data. RLS is implemented but I haven't added anything to the security so I think RLS won't be affected in this case. When I say I am not able to see the data that means blank values are there in the visuals. Does anyone know what is the cause of this issue? Have anyone experienced this issue?
Hi @aj1973
Thank you for your efforts but that didn't work as expected. Also, there is one more issue in which a slicer with a checkbox(multi-select) is changed into a slicer with a radio button (single select) when I log in with user2. In Addition, I'm also getting an error in the console as shown below.
Hi @Angith_Nair
Your "Multi issue" is not quite clear to me!
I see you are using PowerApps in your report, RLS, Connection problem to the source and the Pipeline.
Let's do this step by step shall we!
Is your report refreshing correctly in your desktop?
Is the visual PowerApps working as expected?
Did you try RLS in your desktop?
If all is working good in your desktop and User 2 is allowed on all Datasets and sources then try to publish the report in a new Workspace and see again.

Hi @aj1973
Let me clear you first of all..
I hope the first issue is clear to you, isn't it?
For that, you have suggested me to add user2 to the service or delete RLS from the desktop. I have deleted RLS from the desktop and published the dataset again. But this didn't solve the issue. Still, user2 was not able to see the data for specific reports. In Addition to that, I have also observed another issue in which the slicer with a checkbox(mutli-select) is getting changed to a radio button. In the desktop, I kept the slicer with a checkbox but when I log in with user2 then instead of the checkbox I can see radio button. Everything is working fine in Power BI desktop, but the issue is in Power BI service. When I opened the console just to check what's happening behind the scene then I got those errors whose screenshot is shown in my previous comment.
Regarding your queries...
1. Is your report refreshing correctly in your desktop? - Yes the report is refreshing correctly
in Power BI desktop.
2. Is the visual PowerApps working as expected? - Yes the visuals are working as expected in
Power BI desktop.
3. Did you try RLS in your desktop? - Yes RLS is working fine in Power BI desktop.
I will publish the reports in new workspace and will let you know.
Please note that I'm not using any PowerApps in my report.
Thank you for your time.
Hi @Angith_Nair
I don't see any other cause than the RLS. Once you implement RLS in the desktop to the Dataset then RLS is still there in the service even if you didn't anything to the service. So you either add user 2 to the service or delete RLS from the desktop.
