Hi All,
I'm new to PBI and would like to test out the RLS i have created in PBI desktop in PBI service.
However when i open the "Security" option from the "Dataset" in PBI workspace, the following massage was prompted.
Can anyone advise on how can i navigate to assign the role created in PBI desktop with respective user email in PBI service?
Thanks & Regards,
Ivy

Hi. They way RLS works needs to be created at Power Bi Desktop. Once you have created the roles and rules, you can test them at Desktop top. If they make sense, you can proceed to publish the report to a workspace. That will generate a report and a semantic model (dataset). At the security settings of the dataset it will show the rules. If you can' see them right now, you probably are checking a different dataset or didn't publish.
If you are really sure you have followed all the following steps of the docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-admin-rls
And still showing the picture. Then it's a bug. Contact support or rise a ticket.
I hope that helps,
