Not able to refresh PowerBI data from Excel

Hi all,   I have created an Excel-file (sorry for that, but the directors really want to have a particular file still in Excel) including Pivot Tables.  The source I use, is a dataset from PowerBI...

Hi DekkerNick 

 

You have to make sure that your Power BI dataset is being updated via a scheduled refresh to get the new data. If that is happening then when you go into the Excel file and refresh the file it will get the new data from the Power BI dataset?

Hi GilbertQ , that is indeed the case. When the PowerBI report has been refreshed, and thereafter, I refresh in Excel, this data in Excel is also refreshed. However, I was hoping that the step including refresh data in PowerBI (even with a scheduler) was not necessary. Moreover, to trigger refreshing the Excel and PowerBI data from Excel.
