Non-Pro Users being asked to subscribe for PowerBi Pro membership to view Report from Premium user

Non-Pro Users are being asked to subscribe to Pro membership to be able to view a PowerBi Report that was created by a Premium membership user (myself), and is being published through the Embed function of a SharePoint site. According to learn.microsoft.com, if the workspace is in a Premium capacity, you should be able to share it with free users. See below from learn.microsoft.com: 

 

 Note

  • You need a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license to create a report in a workspace.
  • To share with Power BI free users, the workspace needs to be in a Premium capacity.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this so I can share the report to free users through the SharePoint site?

    Hi RmillerSUT2023 ,

     

    This is not something that can be "fixed".  This is by design.  The rule is that if you want to see a report you must have a Pro license, unless, as you indicate they are assigned one through the Premium capacity.  The only way to share with somebody who does not have a license is to share it to the web in general (which of course means anybody on the interent can get to it).

     

    For your free user, assign them a license from your Premium capacity and then they will be able to see the report.
