No refresh within Power BI server
Hey,
I made a report for my client that is in One Drive for Business.
All the sources are linked via One Drive for Business files as well..
However, the data refresh doesn't work within Power BI server. It only updates the data when I renew it in Desktop and save it.
Refresh or get back to standard doesn't solve the issue.
Can anybody help me how to solve this? My client wants to see their changes without having to call me to update the data again..

Hi DATAKINGDOM,
Did you file direct stored records or connection to external datasource? If your file exists external connection, onedrive refresh may not trigger the refresh of internal connection.

- GilbertQSuper UserHi there
In order for that to happen you will have to use a Gateway to refresh your data from the source.
Here are details on how to do this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-onprem - AnonymousNot applicable
Hi DATAKINGDOM,
It seems like you upload pbix file to onedrive and use power bi service to get data, right? If this is a case, power bi service will use onedrive refresh to manage refresh operation your file.
Data refresh in Power BI
For upload pbix file that stored in onedrive, it not auto-updated so you need to manually refresh it to keep the last data from your data source. For this scenario, I'd like to suggest you refer to following link to use onedrive missing file link as datasource, then you only need to update the source data file and power bi will use onedrive refresh to keep the last data.
