No images (from URL) are displayed in the subscription

Hello to the forum,

I have created a report in Power BI that queries images from SharePoint via a URL. The Picture URL column is correctly categorized as an Image URL.

I have published the report in a premium workspace in the Power BI service. I output the Picture URL column in a table visualization. All images are displayed correctly.

In the Power BI service I see all my pictures.

But if I now create a subscription for this report (in which I also attach the report as a PDF), I no longer see any images. Both the report page preview in the email and the PDF no longer show the images.

My subscription doesn't show any pictures.

Do you know how it is possible for me to see the images in the subscription?

I was hoping that it would work with the Power BI Report Builder, but my images aren't showing at the moment. I've opened a new thread about this:

PS: I'm still interested in a solution to this problem.

The Power BI service has no access to your Sharepoint Document Library.  And you don't really want to grant that access. 

Consider inlining the images in the semantic model instead.

you mean I should read the images as BASE64 code?

The problem is that the images are much too big. The BASE64 code doesn't fit in one column.

Think about your medium for a second.  Screens have a limited resolution.  There is no point in carrying along super high res images just to render them badly on a screen.  

Downsample your images.
