No export data option in online power bi

Hi team,

I hope you are well.

I am trying to export data from a graph in online power bi and this option is not available.

This option is available for the same graph in the power bi desktop.

I read previous topics with the same issue but nothing worked.

Have you got any idea regarding how to activate this option?

Thanks,

Christos

Hi @CK1992

If you don't se the "Export Data" option on the graph there are a couple of reasons it may not be there.

1) The Report Owner has turned these features off, they can do this via "File>Settings" in Power BI Service...

Or this can br done in Power BI Desktop, "FIle>Options & Settings>Report Options".

2) The other option is that the local Power BI Administrator has turned off Data Export in the Tenant settings, in which case you need to speak to them.

Hope this helps

Hi @CK1992

You get this view of the admin area if you are not the local Power BI administrator.

You need to find out who your local administrator is and get them to do it.

hope this helps

Hi @CK1992 ,

Please contact admin to check settings on Desktop and Service.

Export to data settings on Desktop:

Export to data settings on Service:

It's important to note that if the Power BI admin portal settings conflict with the report settings for export data, the admin settings will override the export data settings.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks a lot for your response.

The step 1 looks fine but I still can not export the data.

Hence, I am trying to do step 2. However, I can not see anything relevant to the export data in that area.

Please see below.

Could you please help with it?

Thanks,
